The mobile applications, websites, sub-domains, sites, and services (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Platform") owned and operated by Lightbooks Technologies Private Limited, a private limited company, having its registered office at Plot no.1-63-3/16, Kavuri Hills, Ext Road no.36, Kakateeya Hills Rd 9, Kakatiya Hills, Hyderabad, Telangana 500081, India ("Lightbooks", "us" or "we").

BY USING OUR SERVICES OR BY OTHERWISE GIVING US YOUR INFORMATION AND/OR INFORMATION ABOUT AN END CUSTOMER, YOU WILL BE DEEMED TO HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREED TO THE PRACTICES AND POLICIES OUTLINED IN THIS POLICY AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE POLICY. YOU HEREBY CONSENT TO OUR COLLECTION, USE, SHARING, AND DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION AND INFORMATION OF AN END CUSTOMER AS DESCRIBED IN THIS POLICY. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE, MODIFY, ADD OR DELETE PORTIONS OF THE TERMS OF THIS POLICY, AT OUR SOLE DISCRETION, AT ANY TIME SUBJECT TO THE TERMS CONTAINED HEREIN.

IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THIS POLICY AT ANY TIME, DO NOT USE ANY OF THE SERVICES OR GIVE US ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION. IF YOU USE THE SERVICES ON BEHALF OF SOMEONE ELSE OR AN ENTITY (SUCH AS YOUR EMPLOYER), YOU REPRESENT THAT YOU ARE AUTHORISED BY SUCH INDIVIDUAL OR ENTITY TO (I) ACCEPT THIS POLICY ON SUCH INDIVIDUAL'S OR ENTITY'S BEHALF; AND (II) CONSENT ON BEHALF OF SUCH INDIVIDUAL OR ENTITY TO OUR COLLECTION, USE AND DISCLOSURE OF SUCH INDIVIDUAL'S OR ENTITY'S INFORMATION AS DESCRIBED IN THIS POLICY.

This Policy is published in compliance with, among other things:

  • Regulation 4 of the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Information) Rules, 2011

Lightbooks will collect and process your personal and third-party data carefully, only for the purposes described in this Policy and only to the extent necessary as defined herein and within the scope of the applicable legal regulations. This Policy seeks to ensure that any personal information or third-party information handled by Lightbooks is managed in a way that is ethical, compliant and adheres to best industry practices.

Personal Information means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to: - First and last names - Physical temporary and personal address - Telephone number - Date of birth, age, gender - E-mail address or any other contact information - Financial information including bank account details, credit/debit card details or other payment information

Sensitive Personal Data or Information ("SPDI") of a person includes Personal Information about that person relating to passwords, financial information (bank accounts, credit and debit cards or other payment instruments), and physical information. Lightbooks limits the collection of Personal Information of the User and/or the End Customer to that which is necessary for its intended purpose.

Business Information

Business Information means any information that may be used to identify an individual's business, including but not limited to: - Name and address of the entity - Date of incorporation - E-mail address of the entity - Contact information of the registered office - Company identification number (CIN) - Financial information including bank account details, PAN details - Names of the directors and such other information

Non-Personal Information

Non-personal information means information that does not specifically identify an individual or business, but includes information from you, such as: - Browser type - URL of previous websites visited - Internet Service Provider (ISP) - Operating system and Internet Protocol (IP) address - Device information, connection information, screen resolution - Usage statistics, default communication applications - Other technology on devices used to access the Platform

Usage Information

Usage Information includes all data and information collected automatically through the Platform by use and access of the Platform, including: - System administrative data - Statistical and demographical data - Operational information and data generated by use of the Platform - Cookies, Platform traffic, time spent on Platform - Number of visits and similar behavioral information

End Customers' Personal Information

We collect, store and process certain Personal Information of End Customers solely for and on our Users' behalf to facilitate the provision of Services. You are solely responsible for: - Obtaining explicit written authorization and consent from End Customers - Notifying End Customers of information collection, processing, and use - Informing them that their information will be transferred to and processed by Lightbooks

We use cookies, Google Analytics, web beacons, and similar technologies to: - Ensure our Services perform correctly - Analyze performance and marketing activities - Personalize your experience

Lightbooks may transfer your Personal Information to our servers located in India for processing and storing. We take reasonable steps, including encryption, to ensure your Information is treated securely without loss, misuse, or alteration.

We regularly monitor our systems for vulnerabilities and attacks and seek new ways to enhance security. However, we cannot guarantee absolute protection of your Information. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and liable for any loss due to unauthorized use of your Account.

Control Over Your Personal Information

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any point by providing written notice through email at info@lightbooks.com. Once you withdraw consent, Lightbooks may restrict you from using the services on the Platform.

Rectification/Correction of Personal Information

You have the right to review, modify, or delete your Personal Information and/or SPDI submitted on the Platform. Any modification or deletion may affect your ability to use the Platform and our ability to provide services to you.

Lightbooks reserves the right to verify your identity before allowing access to or correction of your Personal Information. Access may be denied if it would violate another person's rights or is not permitted by applicable law.

Data Retention

We may retain your Personal Information for as long as your Account is active or as needed to provide Services, subject to applicable law. We may continue to retain Personal Information after account cancellation as reasonably necessary to: - Comply with legal obligations - Resolve disputes - Prevent fraud and abuse - Enforce our agreements - Protect our legitimate interests

We may store Non-Personal Information and Usage Information indefinitely, in accordance with applicable law.

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites such as Google Pay and others. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of such websites. This Policy does not apply to linked third-party websites and services.

Public Forums and User Content

Our Services offer publicly accessible areas. Any Personal Information you provide may be read, collected, and used by others. To request removal of your Personal Information, contact us at info@lightbooks.com. We advise against posting any Personal Information you don't wish to publicize.

If you upload User Content, you do so at your own risk. We cannot control the actions of other Users and are not responsible for circumvention of privacy settings or security measures.

Minors and Usage on Behalf of Another Person

Lightbooks does not intentionally collect Personal Information from anyone under the relevant age of consent. If you are using the Platform on behalf of someone else, you represent that you are authorized to accept this Policy on their behalf and consent to our use of their Personal Information.

Business Transition

In case of merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, Personal Information will likely be part of the transferred assets. Lightbooks shall not be held responsible for any loss, damage, or misuse of Information attributable to Force Majeure Events, including but not limited to acts of God, civil commotion, strikes, wars, computer hacking, pandemics, or other events beyond our reasonable control.

Communication Policy and Opt-Out

Service and Billing Messages

We may contact you with necessary information regarding our Services, including maintenance notices, support responses, payment reminders, and material service changes.

Promotional Messages

We may send promotional content through email, text messages, platform notifications, and marketing calls. You may opt-out by: - Following unsubscribe links in emails - Sending an email to info@lightbooks.com

You cannot opt-out of administrative messages, customer service responses, or transactional communications.

Governing Law

This Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. The place of jurisdiction shall exclusively be in Hyderabad, Telangana. Any disputes shall be settled by binding arbitration conducted by a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with venue in Hyderabad, India.
